Linzi and Loki - a colorful wedding at 100 Barrington road, Brixton

I am delighted to tell you a little bit about this special wedding at 100 Barrington in Brixton. Linzi and Loki started planning it 3 years ago and had to postpone a few times due to pandemic and .. babies. Then, when all looked good, a full green light on wedding planning - it turned out the only available date is Friday the 13th.. Fortunately they both have a sense of humour and thought it is only fitting to have their wedding on Friday the 13th! And I’m telling you - the day could not be better! Everything worked perfectly - the weather (sunshine, but not too hot!), the venue (amazing 100 Barrington Road), the retro cake, the food, the babies that were happy to be part of their parents wedding. I loved photographing it!

Brixton wedding at 100 Barrington

It looks pretty joyous, doesn’t it? :-)

There was a wonderful bunch of suppliers working on this wedding, let me list a few for you (first of all, they deserve it! and second - you may need them while planning your own wedding. I recommend each and every one of them). So, let’s start with the amazing star of wedding planning - Cherelle AKA Perfectly Planned 4 you. Cherelle is not only the kindest and coolest person, she also absolutely rocks London wedding planning! It was the second wedding that I’ve had a pleasure to work with her and both were absolute gems.

Next on the radar is Events by Camberwell Arms - oh my goodness, the food was truly delicious! Pedron peppers, chickpea stew, Mackrell, some kind of cucumber and honey salad and many many more dishes. Fingerlickity good! Speaking of food - the cake! Meringue girls have outdone themselves - the cake was not only delicious, it also looked so good - a retro piece, suiting the colours of reception oh so perfectly.

The florist was Rust Bloom and Linzi was heard saying that she’s never seen a wedding bouquet that beautiful. I mean - it literally had all the colours possible! Fab!

I’ll list all the suppliers at the bottom of this blog post, now lets see some photos, shall we?

As you can see, it was kind of the festival wedding in the middle of a city :-)

This was my first wedding at this wonderful, new Brixton venue. And hopefully it’s not going to be the last one, as I have to tell you - I was really impressed! It’s beautiful, it’s versatile, it’s elegant in a cool, designer-y way. But with a chill undertones. I mean - you have to see it to believe.

And did I mention their huge, mother-of-pearl chandelier? (pics to follow!)

I urge you to contact them if you’re looking for a non-traditional, Uber-cool London wedding venue. It’s a bit of a white canvas with it’s industrial walls and light-filled patio (Lines and Loki’s car entered the patio and what followed was the craziest confetti moment my camera has ever seen. And it’s seen a lot) 100 Barrington has an additional bonus point for me - I could literally walk there from my South London home! (which is quite amazing for a wedding photographer - we do finish late sometimes and the fact that I could take a short bus ride home was pure bliss. No, I wouldn’t walk after being on my feet for 10 hours hahaha)

I hope I could convince you that not only getting married in Brixton is the thing cool cats do, but also that you would contact me to photograph your Brixton wedding! :-)
