fashion forward destination wedding in Amsterdam
This was THE wedding of the season. An unusual destination to start with, a mega creative approach (ceremony and reception on day 1, the wildest party on day 2, both in Amsterdam’s most unique venues, both with amazing, and I really mean AMAZING outfits and the food that could satisfy the biggest foodies. Fashion was at the front, food followed closely and it was all framed by the charm of Amsterdam and the vibe of old dutch paintings. Unforgettable.
Amsterdam wedding - Day 1 - the Dylan
When Tiffany and Ryan began planning their wedding, there was only ever one city on their minds: Amsterdam. This is where they got engaged, a city full of character, creativity, and timeless beauty – there was no other place for them. Obsessed with fashion and design, Tiff and Ryan infused every detail of their day with personality, art, and a touch of edge.
The couple chose The Dylan, one of Amsterdam’s most iconic luxury hotels, as their wedding venue. Nestled along the canal, it provided an elegant yet contemporary setting that matched their vision of a fashion-forward, unforgettable destination wedding.
The foodie wedding
The restaurant at The Dylan is Michelin-starred and, right after fashion, it was the main focus area for Tiff and Ryan. They offered their guests the Michelin star dinner experience and it was just exquisite! (with wine pairing, of course). Two Michelin star awarded Restaurant Vinkeles (at the Dylan) offers guests a culinary experience often described as “exciting, modest and refined” and it really was nothing short of that.
fashion forward bride
Tiff’s style was nothing short of spectacular. She wore two custom looks by Varca Studio, each a statement in its own right. For the Day 1 ceremony, she chose a gown that felt both romantic and modern, flowy and perfectly tailored to her creative spirit. Later, she surprised everyone by changing into a lacy jumpsuit with a cage-like corset, also by Varca Studio – a bold, playful outfit that transformed her from bride to muse as the party began.
wedding full of art
The couple loves Dutch still life paintings and that was their inspiration behind the wedding decor, especially the florals. The floral arrangements were lush and dramatic, blending flowers with fruits and vegetables in a way that echoed the richness of the Golden Age masters. It took the guests breaths away and it felt like stepping into a painting – the opulence and artistry , withe the historic background of Dylan’s inner courtyard was simply astonishing.
To capture the atmosphere of the day, I used a combination of digital and film (mainly 35mm). The film added a unique, painterly quality to the images, as well as depth, and texture – while the digital brought sharpness and vibrancy, together creating a timeless yet contemporary collection that mirrored Tiffany and Ryan’s vision. From Tiff and Ryan:
“Marta,
These are INSANE, INCREDIBLE, MORE THAN WE COULD EVER IMAGINE (in volume and artistic quality).” :-)
Every moment of the day was filled with creativity, Tiffany and Ryan wanted their wedding to feel authentic, stylish, and unmistakably them – and Amsterdam delivered in every way.
This was not just a wedding, but a living piece of art: fashion-forward, unique, and inspired by the city that stole their hearts. I LOVED IT!
